BARRIER^® EasyWarm^® is a single-use active self-warming blanket that can be used before, during and after surgery to help prevent inadverted peri-operative hypothermia  ¹. It contains 12 warming pads that are activated as soon as the blanket is removed from its packaging and exposed to air. The blanket reaches operational temperature within 30 minutes, and maintains its temperature for up to 10 hours. Pre-warming the patient using BARRIER EasyWarm for approximately 30 min prio to surgery reduces the initial core body temperature drop ususally experienced with the induction of anaesthesia ¹.
